I switched to this prenatal from 2 others as this is the highest iron content I could find. My iron levels have since evened out to just below what is normal range.
This prenatal has a great list of vitamins and way more then alot (if not most) other prenatal on the market, and at a fraction of the price. I'm happy.
Cons:
While this prenatal has alot of what is recommended, there isn't a prenatal on the market that has everything. This one is missing omega 3 dha/dpa, and folic acid. I just bought those separately and take them in the evening.
Other con, as other reviewers state it definitely turns your pee an electric color, lol. Which I'd view as alarming if I wasn't expecting it. It is quite large, and does have a unique "vitamin-ey" smell. Because of the smell (and maybe the strength) I cannot take this on an empty stomach and definitely probably couldn't have handled it during my first tri. It makes me a bit nauseous if I do that and my burps smell like vitamins.
Overall I'm happy though with this as I was struggling super badly with my anemia and iron and this has soooo many of the recommended vits for baby and is sooo much more affordable. I will probably stay on these well into pp.

HOWEVER - I was extremely sick with this, my second pregnancy, when I had breezed through my first. I know that all pregnancies are different, so I didn't think much of it, until another mom said I might try changing up my prenatal vitamin because that helped her feel better. It then dawned on me that 1.) I had taken a different brand soft gel with my first pregnancy, and 2.) I was sickest in the evenings this time - about 40 minutes after I took my vitamin.
So I went back to my old vitamin (Nature Made soft gel) and my morning sickness was diminished by around 80% overnight.
A couple of things to note: the Nature Made vitamins are not vegan :(. Also, Deva ranks higher on [...] than do the Nature Made. I should also mention that I took the Deva vitamins for almost a year between pregnancies, while I was breastfeeding, and I had no issues with nausea.
The moral of the story for me is that these are good vitamins, but may be hard on a pregnant mom's stomach. I am very glad that I took them in the year leading up to my current pregnancy (it is advised to take a prenatal for 12 months before conception for maximum benefit), but it was worth going to a "lesser" vitamin to survive pregnancy itself.
So I ordered a second bottle when I ran out of the first one. The packaging was the same (the newer brown label), but the vitamins inside looked different, sort of more speckled, like the outer coating was a little thinner or something. As soon as I took one, I noticed that all of my "liquid outputs" turned neon yellow. I'm including a picture of breast milk here because I don't think anyone wants a picture of other liquid outputs, but I assure you the effect was similar and more pronounced.
I switched to my husband's multivitamins for a few days and everything went back to normal. I took the Deva vitamins again for a day, and BOOM, back to bright yellow. The picture is one bottle pumped while taking my husband's vitamins and one bottle pumped while taking the Deva vitamins. Both were pooled over multiple sessions and my supply is well regulated, so this isn't a matter of different fat content or different times of day or anything. This is just the effect of the vitamin, and this wasn't even the most egregiously yellow day.
It's one thing if I'm taking too much of a vitamin and my body just gets rid of the excess, but if I start seeing that excess visibly turn up in what my baby is drinking, that scares me. It doubly scares me because the first bottle I used did not have this effect, and that makes me wonder if this is a quality control issue on Deva's end. I contacted the company to ask if they'd changed the formula or there was some other explanation, and I got no response.
At this point, I'm not comfortable taking the rest of the bottle, and I'm not comfortable purchasing from this brand again.
